• For just $5.80, it is hard to find such a great meal with so many ingredients and soup. The flavour is amazing as well as the price being affordable.

Located in the Chong Pang Food Centre lies a well-known, established braised duck rice stall within the Yishun area.

The name of the stall is called Chuan Kee Boneless Braised Duck.

This has always been our favourite braised duck rice in Singapore, and it was our childhood food when we grew up here years ago.

There are three prices for the braised duck set ‐ $4, $5 and $5.80. The portion was huge and the soup has a herbal taste.

We ordered the $5.80 braised duck rice set. It comes with fragrant duck brown rice, duck meat, tau kwa, braised peanuts and half an braised egg. It has chili belacan on a small dish plate at the side.

The taste of the braised duck meat was tender and soft. The flavour is very rich. It does not have any gamey duck smell which we really liked and appreciated. The tau kwa, braised peanuts and braised egg were great too! In our opinion, the best part is the chili belacan! Mix it up and the flavour will taste even better! The soup was so flavourful. But be mindful that it can be salty sometimes so do not drink too much of it.

Overall, our experience of eating this braised duck rice set was great and I can’t wait to eat it again soon!
